Three-Mentor Scheme
The VIP³ program enhances postdoctoral training through a three-mentor scheme. Each fellow conducts a joint research project between two VBC groups, guided by two host group leaders who provide infrastructure, mentorship, and career support. In addition, fellows select an external mentor from within the VBC networks (alumni, collaborators, international associated partners etc.) to gain cross-disciplinary insights and broaden their scientific and professional networks.
VIP³ fellows meet regularly and work closely with all three mentors throughout their appointment. Specifically, each fellow will:
- develop an initial career development plan within the first three months together with the mentors
- have an annual mentoring meeting (and corresponding annual career development plan) with the mentors to review the past year and to plan for the next, both in terms of research project as well as career development.
